commonwealth..................whose wealth is it actually?

the count down has begun for the biggest competition of sports in india for last thirty years or so.
we have been reding chief minister of delhi, president indian olympic association, union sports minister and even prime minister how grand success it is going to be.
it may not be out of place: without doubting grand intentions or predictions, to ask the fate of national games for last four years. probably the commowealth an outwardly outdated imperial monarchial international organisation reminding us of our civilisation by britishers, holds more important place in the hearts of our leaders who dream in an alien language and treat their training in mathmatics of economics and magic of statistics as best qualification to hold the biggest democratic post of country.
lets try to find out the sure and probable beneficiaries of these games.
the engineers and bureaucrats of public works deprtments, theirs comrades in arms contrators, middlemen turned politicians for sure. that need not even be mentioned. we all understand why the projects always get delayed. the delay ensure multiplication of the budget already streached and lack of any time for audit of quality of work. less the time/bigger the budget; poorer the quality, more of profit and bigger cut for our establishments and the middlemen.
the venue of the games is our national capital. i could never understand why this opportinity was not availed to create sports infrastructure in any other city so that national games are not cancelled for four years in a row because of lack of basic lavel of stadiums to organise the games. delhi is one of probable beneficiaries in terms of creation of sports facilities out of which sweeming pools will be used for our modern raja maharajas and rest will probably be locked to keep unruly sport enthusiasts out of bound and will be rented during marital season to earn our sport federations and their pillars of decades some chai paani.
i am not aware if any sport facility has been created in schools or neighbourhood play grounds to encourage sports other than computergames amongst youth of delhi. rather school play grounds at many a places are being used as dumping ground for malba. the schools shall remain closed during festival { now i found the better term for this games organisation}and students will have to curtail their free time afterward to compensate lost time.
and for city of delhi...... i am not sure what is happening. the street-paths are being relaid but just read somewhere that govt plans to purchase fancy plastic sheets to cover up the mess it has created. if thats true GOD help our leaders.
i coundnt find the logic why the street walks in good conditions{ because they can never be used fully as no footh path ever covers the entire stretch} are being relaid using colourfull tiles but the adjoining slums dont get even a small fraction of big pie.
so the benefits this city is going to get is new street tiles and slums made bigger and worst by influx of expandable labourers.
please let me know if this games is going to make INDIA a little better in sports. if not atleast whose wealth is this commonwealth?
